I'm back! Did you miss me? I took a bit of time off from my stamping and now I'm RUSTY! It took me quite a while to come up with a card design. I think my stamping mojo is still on vacation. Hopefully I'll be able to get it all back together soon because I love stamping for all of the holidays coming up.
I searched around on the internet to find some stamping inspiration and I found this sketch.
I decided to pull out one of my favorite Halloween stamp sets and make this card.
I was so sad when this stamp set retired a while ago. Obviously I've kept it and still use it. I stamped the spider on Whisper White card stock, cut it out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits, and then sponged Pumpkin Pie ink around the edges of the card stock while it was still inside the Framelit. Keeping the card stock inside the Framelit while it's being sponged is what gives it the small white border. I finished the spider by adding two different sized booglie eyes. I think the two different sized eyes on all of the characters in this stamp set is part of what makes it so cute.
The base layer of the card is Basic Black. I punched along the right side of my card with a Spider Web Punch for added decoration.
I glued a strip of Pumpkin Pie DSP to the inside of my card so the Spider Web punched strip would show up better. I rounded the corners of the Whisper White card stock, sponged the edges and added the sentiment. That's it!
It feels great to be stamping again. I have missed it, but I needed the break. Now I can hopefully jump back into it with renewed energy and excitement. Thanks for stopping by!
