I realize it's only August, but I have a lot of Halloween projects to share with you. I thought I'd lump them all together and make it Halloween week on my blog. The first project I want to share with you is this Halloween card that I made for my downline meeting this month. The theme was any upcoming Holiday. Of course with the last name of Graves, I chose Halloween.
Almost the entire card was CASE'd from the super talented Wendy Weixler. I added a layer of Whisper White card stock, changed the embossing folder used on the Pumpkin Pie card stock, and changed the stamps too. If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you'll see that there are two rows of paper piercing on the Whisper White layer that runs across the center of the card. There is also more paper piercing on the black half circles around the Rhinestone.
To make the broom, I took a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and put it in my Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I scored it every 1/8". Next I inserted it into the Owl Builder Punch and punched it out.
The broom is made from the owl. Once it's punched out, simply cut off both of the feet. Next I took a sponge and sponged Early Espresso ink across the broom to highlight the texture.
I finished off the broom by gluing on a 1/8" scrap of Basic Black card stock. The handle is simply a scrap of Early Espresso card stock. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks for stopping by!
