I'm back! I have had so much going on over here the past couple of weeks that I have been absolutely overwhelmed. Things are settling back down and I can now return to my stamping.
A couple of weeks ago we had another monthly downline meeting. We decided that the swap theme would be our favorite stamp set that Stampin' Up! made, retired or not. I instantly knew what set I'd be using...Terrific Tulips. This is a stamp set that I simply can't part with. The images are gorgeous and it makes beautiful cards in no time at all.
See what I mean? I stamped the tulips on three different layers of vellum cardstock, tore the bottom edges, and then sponged all of the edges with Perfect Plum ink. I used Oval Eyelets to attach the vellum layers to the cardstock so I wouldn't have adhesive showing through the vellum.
Since we were using retired stamp sets, I decided to use some other retired products too. I used to use the silver cording on lots of my projects and now it sits neglected with all of my other ribbon. I'm glad I was able to use some of it. I also used my favorite color combination Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss, and Old Olive. Some of those colors are also retired, but I can't bring myself to part with them. They're still so pretty together. The Oval Eyelets are another retired product.
I hope you'll join me and dust off some of those stamp sets and products that have been neglected for a while. I bought them because I really liked them and it was fun to remind myself how beautiful they really are. Thanks for stopping by!
