Today I was looking around my stamp room at all of the retired stamp sets and paper I own. It's safe to say that I have more retired products than I do current. So I thought I'd have some fun and dust off a few of my favorite retired items to use on a card. I started with this great sketch from Taylor.
I combined it with the retired Maine Blueberry DSP and the retired Live Your Dream stamp set and made this card.
This is definitely one of my favorite papers. I love the color combination as well as the patterns. I just wish SU! hadn't retired it so quickly.
I used my oval Nestabilities to cut out the three oval layers. I inked the flower stamp with Not Quite Navy and Old Olive markers, stamped it on Whisper White cardstock, cut it out, and attached it to the oval layers with dimensionals. The flowers look flat in the photo, but they pop off the card in real life.
I finished my card with a piece of ribbon, a couple of Dew Drops, and a small scalloped edge under the ribbon.
I used a similar layout for the inside of my card. Quick, clean and simple. As always, thanks for stopping by! ~Dannie
