While I was gone to convention, Julee released a series of 12 Anni-VERVE-sary sketches. You should click on the link and check them out--they're all wonderful. I didn't have the time to participate while all of the festivities were going on, but I do now! I started with sketch #2
and made this Christmas card.
Isn't this new Holiday Treasures designer series paper gorgeous? The base of my card is 5 1/4" square. I sponged around the edge of the largest Riding Hood Red layer with Chocolate Chip ink and then paper pierced along all four edges.
I stamped the house image in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and then embossed it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder to look like snow. It's so sparkly in real life, but I couldn't get the sparkle to show up in the photo. The picture would either show no sparkle or the entire image would sparkle and it would look like one big blob of glitter and you couldn't tell what the image was.
I hope you have a fantastic Labor day weekend. We have lots of fun plans and I'm sure the time will fly by. There's nothing better than having your birthday on a three day weekend. Thanks for stopping by! ~Dannie
