I recently learned that a lady I know lost her husband unexpectedly. My heart goes out to her as she is going through this difficult time. I want to send her a card so she knows that I'm thinking of her and praying for her. This is what I came up with.
I think the sentiment, "Memory is the power to gather roses in winter," is just beautiful and works perfectly for a sympathy card. Although this stamp set is retired, it's another one that I can't part with.
The roses are stamped in Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose (stamped off once first), and Rose Red ink. It's my favorite color combination for this stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and then embossed it with Black Embossing Powder. It doesn't show well in the photo, but the white cardstock is the Shimmery White paper and it glimmers in the light. I finished it off with some rose colored Dew Drops.
My inspiration for this card came from this week's Mojo Monday sketch.
I kept the inside of my card pretty basic so I would have room to write a message.
Be sure to hug the ones you love. Thanks for stopping by!
