Wedding and Birthday Tab Books

I recently received an email from Lois Good and Jen Cox with pictures of two projects they made using my Tab Book Tutorial.  The projects were amazing so I got their permission to share them with you.  The first one they made is a wedding book.

I love the elegant designer series paper and the gorgeous ribbon.

Here's the book open (you can click on the photos to see a larger view).  Isn't that gorgeous?  I love it!  They also made a birthday book.

Spoiled!

My friend Debra couldn't attend convention this year so I volunteered to be her convention buddy.  Being the sweet person that she is, she sent me a package of goodies for me to use or enjoy while I was at convention.  I was blown away by everything she sent me.  She spoiled me!



She made this cute 2, 5, 7, 10 box and filled it with Reeses' peanut butter cups.  You'll see that Debra sent me a lot of my favorite types of chocolate. 



I already showed you this darling bag tag that she made for me in another post, but I also wanted to included it with all the other things she made for me.  I love it!



She also made me a business card holder.  I was thrilled to get this because I've never had a business card holder.  I will definitely put this to use.



This is a gift card holder.  Isn't it cute?  She sent me some money to spend on myself at the Momento Mall.  How sweet is that?!

a whole box of Junior Mints.  Yum!  Another one of my favorites.  I love the way she packaged it because my children have no idea what's inside.  If they found out what it was, the whole box would be gone in less than five minutes.



Debra also included this beautiful covered notepad for me to take notes.  I love the way she used one of the Fresh Cut Notes as a layer rather than just as a card.



This is a covered post-it note pad on a binder ring.  I love all the layers she used on the scalloped circle.  I put this in my purse for when I need to jot down a phone number or some other note.



Check this out--it's a pack of Tic Tacs!  Debra put it together so that I can open the pack of Tic Tacs without taking it out of the packaging.  It's such a clever idea.



I love this package of tissues.  After seeing this I definitely need to buy the Pretty Petals background stamp.  It's so pretty.

This was originally a bottle of trail mix.  It didn't last too long in this house so I had to fill it with something else for the photo.  Debra also sent me a huge bag of peanut butter M&M's so I put them in the container.  Now these won't last long either. 

Debra also sent me a bag of covered peppermint patties.  Another favorite chocolate of mine.

She also included a tube of chapstick covered in designer series paper.  This was packaged together with a bottle of Coconut Lime Verbena hand gel from Bath and Body Works.  I love that scent.

See what I mean?  She absolutely spoiled me!  Thanks for the package Debra and most importantly thank you for your friendship.  ~Dannie

Gina Taylor

When I went to the Oakland Regional earlier this month, I didn't take any swap cards or projects with me.  I simply ran out of time and didn't get any made.  As everybody was gathering before regional began, I kept hearing the same question over and over "are you swapping?"  I had to keep telling them "no."  The swaps were fantastic and I was missing out.

When Gina Taylor came up to me, I told her I didn't have any swaps.  She said, "that's okay" and proceeded to give me not just one or two stamped items....but FIVE!!!  What a sweetheart!  She even gave me her permission to post them here on my blog.



This cute little box holds a small Hershey's milk chocolate bar.  What a darling way to package them.   



I love this little Easter cello bag.  The little chicks are covered peppermint patties.  Gina added some bling to their shells by covering them in crystal effects and dazzling diamonds glitter.



Whoa, that picture looks huge!  It's really not that big.  It's the tiniest milk carton I've ever seen.  It's an inch wide and stand about 2 1/2 inches tall and holds four starbursts.  Isn't that cute?



This is a little 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" trading card.  I love the simple, beautiful design. 



Gina's swap card was this darling rabbit made completely out of punches.  I love using my punches and this gives me some new ways to use them.  All of these took a lot of time to make and she just gave them to me!  Gina, thank you so much for your generosity. 

Christmas Cheer

I'm a member of the SUDemoOnly Yahoo group, and as part of that group we have a Christmas Cheer gift exchange.  We stamp 2 or 3 gifts, add some chocolate, and add any other surprises we'd like and mail them to our assigned person.  I got my Christmas Cheer package the other day from Marilyn Rufkahr and I just had to show you how much she spoiled me!

All the goodies came in this altered paint can.  It looks like it just says "memo" on it, but it says "Memories."  I have always wanted to make a can like this, but I haven't had the time.  Now it's done for me--thank you!!  I like to jot down funny things my kids have done or said so that I can scrapbook those memories later.  Now I can put all those slips of paper in this can and not worry about them getting lost around the house.

Now for what was inside the can...

Marilyn made me some snowman soup--yum!  It's been chilly lately and this couldn't have come at a better time.  The photo doesn't show how much the snowflakes and snowman shimmer in the light.  It's really pretty.

She also altered a matchbox--I'll have to email her and ask where she got this box.  As you can see in the photo it was filled with ribbon, cording, hemp twine, chipboard buttons and some designer series paper punched out into shapes.  I can't wait to use this on some cards.

Here's another cute box that she altered.  I love the flowers on top.  It's difficult to see in the photo, but the top layer of the flower is stamped with smaller flowers.   The center of the flower is covered in micro beads.  It's so pretty!  Here's a look at the inside of the box.

Even the inside of the box is covered in flowers.  I love it!  Inside the box is a long piece of card stock folded accordion style.  She made a belly band from DSP and wrapped it around the card stock and finished it off with another flower. 

Marilyn altered another round tin and filled it with square rhinestone brads and buttons of all sizes and colors.  She also stamped this organdy bag and filled it with primas.  I plan on putting all of this to good use.

Marilyn also sent me this darling card.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets even though it's retired.

I don't have pictures of everything else that she sent me, but her package also included chocolate (I LOVE kit kats!), candy, an ornament, a round tin for me to alter, some raspberry hot chocolate, and some stamped images from a wheel I want but don't own (yet). 

See what I mean?  I was spoiled!  Thank you so much Marilyn.  You truly brought me some Christmas Cheer.
