I recently participated in another Control Freak card swap. The theme for this swap was Flat and Fabulous. We were to make cards that didn't have too much dimension so they could be mailed without having to add extra postage to them. As usual, my fellow freaks did an amazing job and their creations were beautiful! Here's the card I made.
Check that out--there isn't any Designer Series Paper anywhere!!! I used the Heart Framelits to cut the heart shape out of Whisper White card stock. I took another piece of Whisper White card stock and cut out the lattice design using the Lattice Bigz Die. I glued the lattice to the back of the heart layer and then adhered both layers to a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock.
I stamped the sentiment in Marina Mist ink and then cut it out using the Decorative Label Punch. I stamped the sentiment again in Cherry Cobbler Ink and then punched out the "you" part with the small circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. It's so small that adhered it on with half of a dimensional. I used the Decorative Label Punch on a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock, and then I cut the punched out shape in half horizontally. I adhered both halves behind the sentiment to give it a layered look.
For the inside of the card I added a small strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock with some more lattice work layered on top.
I need to go so I can unpack a new box of stamping goodies. I can't wait to play with all of my new toys. Thanks for stopping by!
