Last week I was able to attend a stamp meeting with my downline. I haven't been able to go in months because my schedule is crazy, but I was able to squeeze it in. It felt wonderful seeing them all again. The swap theme for the meeting was "masculine cards," so I made this thank you card.
I kept the design of the card very simple. It's also flat--only the bird and the wing are attached using dimensionals. This should help cut down on postage when I mail it.
I used the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack along with the Banners Framelits to create the banner behind the bird. I know that the Bird Builder punch has been around for quite a while, but I finally broke down and bought one for myself. I keep seeing too many cute ideas with the punch to not own it. I think it added a great touch to the banner. I finished off the front of the card with the sentiment.
The layout for the inside of the card is pretty much the same. I decided to punch out an extra bird and glue it to the inside of the card as well. This time, I didn't use any dimensionals so the card would close flat. That's it. Very quick and simple.
I will also be posting the projects we made at the meeting so be sure to check back. Thanks for stopping by!
