As I said in my last post, I'm busy preparing for a holiday boutique that's coming up soon. One of the projects I'm making for the boutique is this cute mini purse treat holder.
The idea came from a video by Beth Beard. The base of the purse is 2" x 2" and it stands slightly less than 2" tall (not including the ribbon handle). If you watch the video, you'll see that Beth covered all of the sides of the purse with designer series paper (DSP). I wanted to simplify the design, so I only put DSP on the 2" x 4" piece. I also used a small flower punch instead of the 1/2" circle punch.
If you open the purse, you'll see that I filled it with a peppermint patty and a Hershey's kiss. There really isn't room for much else. I've tried different candies and this seems to be the best combination.
I think these little purses would look so cute hung on the Christmas tree. You can also fill them with small gifts like jewelry. Little girls would love these as party favors too. There are tons of possibilities. Now I just need to make a few more and hopefully they will sell. Thanks for stopping by!
