I finally had a chance to play with some of the stamps I purchased from the Holiday mini catalog. I think my new favorite items are the Festive Flurry stamp set and the coordinating Framelit Dies. Without the dies, it would have taken me forever to cut out the snowflakes for this card.
The snowflakes are five layers deep! I did have to cut out the smallest snowflake by hand, but that's way better than cutting all of them out. I also used the Circle Framelits. In order to make this card, I had to run paper through my Big Shot eight different times. Did I mention I love my Big Shot? It is such a huge time saver.
If you're curious how I made the scalloped card, you can view the tutorial that I made a while back. The only difference is that I used the larger scallop circle die, but the concept is still the same.
As I post pictures of my projects online, I regularly find myself wishing the photo could capture more of the details so you could see the project exactly as I do. All of the layers of the snowflake are adhered together with dimensionals so they stand off the card. I also wish you could see how pretty the shimmer is in the Brushed Silver card stock.
For the inside of the card, I added a simple Circle that was cut out using the Circle Framelit set. Very clean and simple.
Well, I'm off to go stamp some more. I signed up to participate in a Holiday Boutique so I'm cranking out projects as fast as I can. I can't wait. Thanks for stopping by!
