For the first time since I started my blog, I have two weeks worth of blog posts to share with you! I have been so busy stamping that I haven't taken the time to take pictures of all of my projects until now. I've spent the better part of this afternoon cropping and editing photos to share with you. Several of the projects need tutorials, and I have yet to make those. That's my next goal. For now, I'll just start with a project that already has a finished tutorial.
The inspiration for this project came from Connie Babbert. She gave us each a Western themed gum holder at our Control Freak swap at convention. Of course I had to give it a try. Hop over to Connie's blog to download the pattern and see her Western version.
I stamped the flower four times--twice in blue and twice in yellow. For the largest flower I was able to use the Scalloped Circle punch to cut it out. I was also able to use the 1/2" Circle Punch to cut out the center of the flower. The other two layers were cut out by hand. I added dimensionals between all of the flower layers. I also added dimensionals to the lower half of the largest flower and attached it to the gum holder. This way the top of the flower was lose so I could tuck the lid behind it to keep it closed.
I forgot to take a picture of the back of the box, but I just added another piece of the yellow polka dotted DSP to the back. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'd also love to hear your comments too. You guys have gotten rather quiet lately. Thanks for stopping by!
